About Dr. Chan

Dr. Chan is double-board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology.

She is originally from Thousand Oaks, CA. She graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelors of Science in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. She then went on to medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her internal medicine training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City then returned to Montefiore Medical Center - Albert Einstein College of Medicine to complete a residency in dermatology. She served as the Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Chan then completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Montefiore Medical Center- Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Dermpath Diagnostics in New York.

Dr. Chan has performed extensive laboratory research and published on the science of the skin barrier, electron microscopy, and congenital skin diseases. She has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, book chapters in dermatology and has presented her research at both national and regional meetings, receiving several awards for her work. Dr. Chan has special expertise in complex medical dermatology, including supportive oncodermatology, connective tissue disease, and infectious diseases.  She also has a strong interest in global health, and her work has taken her to Botswana, Haiti, and Bolivia. She strives to provide high-quality, personalized care for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
